📍 Unity Hall, Chang’ombe – Dar es Salaam
On the 21st of Ramadhan 1447 A.H, followers of Imam Ali (a.s) gathered at Unity Hall, Chang’ombe in Dar es Salaam for a majilis commemorating the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful. The event, organized by WIPAHS, drew a large number of believers. Sheikh Amiri Kasonzo delivered a lecture on the essence of leadership at the personal, family, and community levels, emphasizing that both the Qur’an and Imam Ali’s (a.s) teachings highlight that true leadership begins with self-governance. He further warned against the erosion of moral values in today’s society and stressed the importance of safeguarding people’s rights and trusts as the foundation of good leadership.
Sheikh Salumu Baqir Ngezi also spoke on the virtues and significance of piety (taqwa), urging believers to strengthen their God-consciousness in daily life. The majilis concluded with the recitation of the tragic accounts of Imam Ali’s (a.s) martyrdom, reminding the faithful of the injustices he endured and reinforcing his legacy as a model of justice and righteousness. The gathering served as both a spiritual reflection and a call to uphold integrity and piety in all aspects of life.
